In these challenging economic times, one quality remains consistent – the ability of animal lovers to embrace, nurture and share their lives with helpless pets. On Saturday, July 10, from 11:00am to 3:00pm, you are invited to come share love and provide a home for your own special “instant friend for Life”.

The adoption is sponsored by Stray and Feral Cat Rescue, Inc. A 501(C)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Animal Welfare Organization, located in Deerfield Beach. For the past 10 years, owner, Bridgette Edelmaier, has made it her mission to rescue stray and feral cats that roam the streets in not only Deerfield, but wherever there is a need. Bridgette lives on a limited income as a senior citizen, yet she continues to share a gift of hope and comfort for a homeless cat by rescuing, feeding, fostering and providing vet care, spaying and neutering.

Statistics estimate that 70% of homeless cats and kittens are "put to sleep". When you take home a cat or kitten for adoption from a no-kill pet rescue group you save more than just the life of the pet you’re adopting; you’re allowing that organization to rescue another pet which, of course, saves the life of that pet plus the lives of other pets at that shelter by creating space for others.

Saturday, July 10 is your chance to Share the Love – Save a Life. In addition to adoption opportunities, Stray & Feral Cat Rescue has a great need for donations in the form of food, blankets, sheets, towels, and litter. All monetary donations are tax-deductible and helps to assist with the costs of feeding, fostering, vet care, spaying and neutering. A donation bin is always available on-site at Luke’s.
